You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


BBQ Pulled Pork in the Instant Pot is so simple to make. Forget to pull out your pork roast for dinner? No problem. This video shows you how to cook a frozen pork roast and make BBQ Pulled Pork in just a couple of hours. It will take less time if you have a small roast. Watch for step by step instructions. This recipe isn’t only super simple, it tastes incredible!

Pulled Pork (Instant Pot) Recipe:

Rinse roast and pat dry.

Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder on all sides of roast.

put roast on trivet inside instant pot.
Pour 18 oz of Dr. Pepper into the instant pot.
put lid on (make sure sealing valve is sealed) and cook roast on manual or high pressure for 30 minutes per pound.

If your roast isn’t frozen, cook it 20 minutes per pound.
Allow roast to naturally release for at least 10 minutes.

Carefully remove roast from instant pot and remove all fat.
Shred meat and put back into the instant pot.
Add 3/4 to 1 cup (or more if you love) of BBQ sauce. We use Sweet Baby Ray’s.
Mix well and put lid on and allow meat to sit in pot on warm for 15 to 30 minutes.

If you want the roast to acquire really hot quickly put your roast with sauce in a pyrex dish that fits in your instant pot on the trivet and back into the instant pot. make sure you put a cup of hot water in your instant pot before adding the pyrex dish with meat.
Turn instant pot on for 1 to 2 minutes and do a fast release.
Stir and serve. (It should be quite hot so be careful.)
