Recipe

BEEF AND CHINESE VEGETABLES STIR FRY

4 to 6 oz. sliced beef (marinade with 3 tbsp. cooking oil, , 1/2 tsp. cornstarch,
1 tbsp. sesame oil and 1 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 1/2 cup Shanghai bok choy
1 1/2 cup yu choy
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 small onion sliced
2 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 to 2 tbsp. Chinese oyster sauce

For Instant Pot Cooking:

Set for hot on saute setting. I love to set the time for 10 minutes, to finish my stir fry. When the beeper goes on, put in 3 tablespoons cooking oil. Add chopped ginger and chopped garlic. Stir fry briefly. Add onions and stir fry briefly. Push onions to one side. Add beef and stir fry for about 1 minute. Add the 2 kinds of Chinese vegetables. Stir fry for another 1 to 2 minutes. Add light soy sauce, sesame oil and Chinese oyster sauce. do a final stir fry until vegetables are cooked to your liking. Serve in your favourite bowl or on your favourite plate. Enjoy!

Cooking With A Wok Or Pan:

Preheat a wok or pan at medium to high heat. Add the cooking oil in the same way as in the Instant Pot. Add the ginger and garlic, Stir Fry briefly, Turn heat setting to high. The cooking time for a wok or pan compared to the Instant Pot may differ. A flat bottom wok may require more heat because it has a small area of contact with the stove. A frying pan may have the same problem because only part of the pan makes contact with the stove coil.
