Beef burgundy in Instant Pot



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

INGREDIENTS:

Beef Burgundy
2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 pounds stew beef or (chuck)
1/4 white flour
1 cup white onion, chopped
1 tsp chopped garlic, parsley and resmasy (you can substitute dry herbs and garlic powder)
2 bay leaves
2 cups carrots, sliced
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1 cup red wine
2 tablespoons cornstarch 2 tbsp water to make slurry
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp beef base
3 cups water
salt and pepper to taste
cook for 25 to 35 in pressure cook setting depending on meat size and if they are fresh or frozen.

Mashed potatoes:
3 pounds red skin Potatoes (cooked)
1 cup warm milk
1/3 cup sour cream
1 tbsp butter
salt and pepper to taste
