But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
BEEF NILAGA is a hearty Filipino beef stew, best served during rainy and cold weather. ♡
1 kg beef shank
1 onion, quartered
1 tsp whole peppercorn
2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
2 beef cubes
6 cups of water
1 small cabbage, chopped
1 carrot, sliced
1. Combine beef, onion, whole peppercorn, fish sauce, beef cubes and water in the Instant Pot.
2. Seal the pot and turn the venting knob to sealing position. Select MEAT/STEW and set the timer to 45 minutes, high pressure.
3. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes and then use the fast release.
4. Use SAUTE mode to cook the potatoes, carrots and cabbage.
5. Serve warm, ENJOY!
