Beef Stock (with leftover short rib bones)



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


Beef Stock Recipe

4 Lb beef shanks or short rib bones*
1 carrot, in big chunks
1 onion, in big chunks
1 celery stick, in big chunks
2 bay leaves
a few sprigs of thyme
1 tsp black pepper corns
1 Tbsp tomato paste

You can use as much or as little shanks / bones as you’d love. Just make sure the liquid just covers them. If you have a lonely bone swimming in a big pot, you won’t acquire enough flavor or gelatin.
