Best Crock Pot Chicken Legs | Only 5 Minutes of Prep Time!

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

These Crockpot Chicken Legs are simple, straight forward, and guaranteed to win over anyone at the family dinner table. All you need are chicken legs, my simple homemade Southern spice blend, and a little oil. That’s right. That’s it!

I’m a work-at-home mom — the days are full and the days are looooong. As much as I love to cook, inevetibly, there will be one night out of the week where I just don’t have a lot to give in the effort department. When I know it’s going to be a long day, it’s #crockpot #chickenlegs for the win.

2 – 2 1/2 pounds chicken legs
2 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt
1 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons oil (avocado, canola, or olive oil)

1. Pat each drumstick dry with a paper towel and transfer to a 4-6 quart crock pot.
2. Combine all of the dry seasoning in a small bowl and stir to combine. Drizzle the chicken with oil and rub to adhere to each leg. Then, sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the chicken and rub all over to adhere.
3. Cover and turn on the low setting. Cook for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Serve and enjoy!
