Hawaiian Butter Mochi is very similar to various Filipino kakanin (rice-based desserts). Some people think it’s similar to bibingka, but I think it’s a lot more similar to cassava cake because of butter mochi’s chewy texture!

This gluten-free butter mochi recipe is simple and simple to make. You just mix everything together in a bowl and stick it in the oven for 1 hour!

It’s gluten-free because it uses glutinous rice flour, or mochiko. Despite its name, glutinous rice flour contains ZERO gluten!
