Butternut Squash Soup | simple Instant Pot Recipe | The BEST Fall Soup

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Happy fall y’all! The changing of the seasons means that fall squash and other produce are the cheapest I can find them all year. And that means it’s fall soup season in my house! I wanted to share with y’all the recipe for my absolute favorite fall soup, butternut squash soup!

I’ve only made this soup in an Instant Pot, but I’m pretty sure it would also come out great in a slow cooker. The version I make isn’t vegan friendly, but can be made so by simply substituting chicken broth for vegetable broth and cream for coconut milk.

A reminder to use an abundance of caution if using a blender to blend your soup. Wait for the contents to cool and blend in very small batches. I talk about this in a bit more detail in my blog post below.

If you’d prefer a written recipe, I wrote it out on my blog!
