Caribbean-Style Black Beans from Scratch | simple Instant Pot Recipe | Vegan | Gluten-Free

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Homemade black beans are much better than canned beans.
You can control all ingredients and avoid BPA in cans.
This recipe is flavored with a lot of garlic, onion, green pepper, some ground cumin and dried oregano. It gives the beans more island flavor.
It is a perfect side dish for rice or any meals!
