Chana Biryani Recipe in Instant Pot ( One Pot VEGAN meal )

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Chana Biryani Recipe in Instant Pot ( One Pot VEGAN meal )

Recipe :

Basmati Rice – 2 cups ( Soak Basmati rice for 20 minutes )

Boiled Chickpeas – 2 cups
Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoons
Kashmiri chilli powder – 2 Tablespoons
Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Cardamom – 4
Cinnamon stick – 2 inches
Peppercorns – 6
Green chillies – 2
Mint leaves
Coriander leaves
Mix everything and keep aside

Procedure :
On Saute , add oil and onion slices, when onions turn light brown , then add chickpea masala, Basmati Rice, water ,salt and mix well.
Cancel Saute and close and seal the lid .
Set Time :
Manual (or) Pressure Cook – 5 minutes
Pressure – HIGH
Release – fast Release
