Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
Chicken Curry is a staple non vegetarian desi dish. It is traditionally served with Rice or Roti and the ingredients vary depending on which region the recipe originates from. This recipe is simple and simple to follow and makes 8 servings. The recipe is also suitable for low carb and ketogenic diets @4.4gms total carbs, 3.5 net carbs and 481 calories per serving (macro nutrient info is included in the video). In this video we have used an instant pot to cook the curry; the curry can also be cooked in a pan on a stove top.
Ingredients (8 servings):
– Chicken 1.5kg
– Cooking Oil 5 tablespoons
– Brown Onions 150gms
– Tomato Paste 3 tablespoons
– Green Cardamom 4 pieces
– Cinnamon 1 stick (approx 2 inches long)
– Cloves 5 pieces
– Black Peppercorns 10 pieces
– Bayleaf 1 piece
– Crushed Coriander 2 teaspoons
– Red Chilli Powder 1 teaspoon
– Turmeric Powder 1 teaspoon
– Paprika Powder 1.5 teaspoons
– Garam Masala 3/4 teaspoon
– Cumin Powder 1.5 teaspoon
– chopped Ginger 2 tablespoons
– chopped Garlic 2 tablespoons
– Salt 1 teaspoon
