Chicken Soup in the Instant Pot

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

My biggest request is more Instant Pot videos. For the vegans in the audience, just move on – nothing to see here! 😉 In this video, I make super-simple, chicken soup from scratch and show you some tricks for labeling leftovers.

The recipe:
3-4 bone-in organic chicken thighs
1/4 onion (I used dehydrated and don’t recommend it)
1 celery stalk
2-3 carrots
Opt: potatoes, cauliflower, kale
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
1/4 t powdered sage
a couple of taps of cayenne
1/2 t turmeric
filtered water to fill line

High pressure for 4 minutes, natural pressure release
