Chinese Whole Chicken With Secret Sauce (Instant Pot Chinese Cooking) Cantonese Soy Sauce Chicken

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

simple Chinese whole chicken cooked in Instant Pot. The secet ingredient is thick soy sauce, which is often made with molasses. It gives chicken, beef, duck, fried rice and noodles delicious flavour. You can use regular soy sauce if you love. Using light soy sauce will give a salty flavour to the chicken. Dark soy sauce will give a slightly sweet and salty flavour. Dark soy sauce will also make the chicken skin darker as well. You can also use other kinds of sauces for the marinade, such as Chinese oyster sauce, hoisin sauce and chou hou sauce.
