CREAMY INSTANT POT POTATO SOUP RECIPE

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


Creamy Potato Soup is the best potato soup recipe ever. This creamy and comforting Potato soup is so simple to make and is bursting with flavors.
Ingredients
▢1 tsp Olive Oil
▢½ medium sized Yellow Onion finely chopped
▢3 cloves Garlic minced
▢1 small Bay Leaf optional
▢3 big Yukon Gold Potatoes chopped into 1″ cubes
▢2 cups Chicken Broth low sodium
▢1 tsp Salt and Pepper or as per taste
▢1 cup Heavy Cream or Evaporated Milk and Sour Cream
▢1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese optional
▢freshly chopped Parsley optional

How to make Potato Soup

Heat Olive Oil in the Instant Pot. As the oil shimmers, add the chopped Onions, Garlic, chopped Potatoes and Bay Leaf. Season with salt and pepper. Saute for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Pour Chicken Broth over it and stir to combine. Cover with the lid and pressure cook for 10 minutes. After it gets cooked, fast release the pressure.
Remove the Bay Leaf. Stir in heavy cream and serve hot. Garnish with freshly grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese, chopped Parsley and serve. (You can also garnish with crispy fried bacon bits, freshly chopped green onions and chives.
