CREAMY TOMATO CHICKEN | Instant Pot (Low Carb and Gluten free)

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Are you looking for a hearty and delicious chicken meal to make in your instant pot? If so, then look no further. This is a simple but delicious chicken dish that makes a mouth watering well seasoned gravy. This dish can be made in any electric pressure cooker, not just the Instant Pot.

INGREDIENTS:
3-3.5 lbs of bone in chicken thighs, legs or combination of both
3 Tbsp. unsalted butter (if you only have salted, reduce the salt added to the recipe)
2-3 Tbsp olive or avocado oil
1 big onion, chopped
2 Tbsp garlic, minced
1/4 cup white wine (I used chardonnay. If you don’t want to use wine, substitute chicken broth)
2 -15oz cans tomato sauce
3-4 Tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground black pepper
1-2 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup heavy cream

Chives for garnish (Optional)
