delicious and simple Instant Pot Asian Pork Recipe



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


I haven’t seen too many pork recipes for the Instant Pot. So I created this delicious instant pot asian pork recipe. It is really simple and simple to modify! This is perfect for the family dinner or to serve as a buffet with friends. YUMMY!

Recipe
1 pound pork tenderloin, cut into big cubes
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seed oil
1 cup vegetable broth
½ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
1 head butter lettuce
Green onion, chopped

* Set Instant Pot to Saute.
* Add in onions, the vegetable broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame seed oil, garlic, ginger and brown sugar into the Instant Pot and stir.
* Add in pork tenderloin.
* put the lid on and close the pressure valve to seal.
* Set to Manual or Pressure Cook High for 20 minutes. Naturally Release for 5 minutes.
* Push Cancel the Instant Pot and remove the lid. Select Sauté.
* Remove the pork and put on a plate. Then shred with two forks.
* Add the cornstarch to the water mix until combined, to make a slurry. Add the sauce to thicken.
* The sauce will continue to thicken as it cooks and cools.
* Add the shredded pork back into the sauce and stir.
*Serve on top of lettuce or buns.
* Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
