You’ve probably heard of theInstant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
Watch as I make an simple, delicious omelet in the Instant Pot using the pot in pot method.
1/2 cup of chopped onions
1/3 cup of chopped bell peppers
3 pcs. of cooked turkey bacon
1 whole chopped avocado
1/2 cup of mushrooms
3/4 cup of sharp cheddar cheese
2 dashes of salt
Fresh Ground black pepper
Turn your instant pot on manual high for 25 minutes with 2 cups of water.
Spray your oven safe glass bowl with cooking spray
Beat your eggs thoroughly in bowl
Add all other ingredients and stir well
Cover with tinfoil
put on trivet inside the instant pot
put lid on and make sure the valve on top is on seal
Cook for 25 minutes
Allow pot to self release (it will take about 10 to 12 minutes)
Serve and enjoy!
*To save time, put the water in your instant pot and and turn on manual high for 25 minutes. Allow it to heat up while preparing your ingredients. It only took 3.5 minutes for it to come to pressure. make sure you add more water if important.
