You’ve probably heard of theInstant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
Mechadong Baka is also Known as Beef Mechado. It is a Filipino beef stew dish that looks similar to kaldereta and afritada. So, what makes this dish different? I think that the addiiton of lemon or calamansi made it a bit different from the others.
This is a fast version on how to cook mechado because I used a pressure cooker. It only took me 20 minutes to make the beef tender and an additional 15 minutes more to complete the entire dish.
I love my mechado with warm white rice and I love to put more sauce on top of the rice.
Tara! Kain na tayo.
