You’ve probably heard of theInstant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
Hey guys! Watch me as I make this delicious beef stew! It’s soup season!!! This is the perfect dish for a nice Fall day. Making this stew in a pressure cooker saves lots of time, and it makes the meat nice and tender. Beef stew is the ultimate comfort food! I hope you enjoy this recipe.
4 lbs of beef stew meat
4 big carrots (or use frozen)
2-3 stalks of celery
1 yellow onion
2 cups of frozen peas
2 packets of beef stew seasoning
4 cups of beef broth (I mixed 3 tablespoons of beef bouillon powder and 4 cups of water)
4 Idaho potatoes
Cornstarch slurry (2 tablespoons of cornstarch plus 1/4 cup of water)
Wash the meat and pat it dry with paper towels. Season the stew meat to your taste.
Wash the vegetables and cut in big chunks.
Press the “saute” button on the pressure cooker. Add oil. Brown the stew meat, and remove from the pot. Add the beef broth and whisk to acquire the browned bits from the bottom. Add the seasoning packets. Return the beef to the pressure cooker. Add the carrots, onions, and celery on top of the meat.
put the top on the pressure cooker. Press the “meat” button, and set it to the highest setting. Adjust the time to 25 minutes. Let the pressure cooker do a natural release (optional).
Press the “saute” button. Add in the potatoes and peas. Add in the cornstarch slurry. Cook until potatoes are fork tender and broth is slightly thickened.
