How to make Instant Pot Mixed Bean Soup

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

In this simple cooking video, I make some mixed bean soup in my Instant Pot Ultra 60 electric pressure cooker. The ingredients I used are 8 cups of water, and a 16 oz bag of bean soup mix. I cooked the beans for 20 minutes on the pressure cook setting, and let the pressure release naturally, on it’s own. Then I added the seasoning pack, and some salt and Johnny’s Seasoned Pepper, to taste. The beans were in the pot for about 90 minutes total.
