How to Use Rice Cooker to make Fragrant Glutinous Rice 腊味糯米饭 Fried Rice • Instant Pot
You’ve probably heard of the
Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
It’s really simple to cook this Stir Fried Chinese Glutinous Rice with Chinese Sausage & Mushrooms. All you need to do is soak the glutinous rice beforehand for about 2 hours, then stir fry the ingredients in your multi cooker / instant pot or rice cooker and just set it to cook love normal rice. If you’ve never cooked before, I would highly recommend you to try making this dish to boost your confidence. Your loved ones will love this dish. Happy cooking!!

Rice Cooker Glutinous Rice! 腊味糯米饭
Ingredients:
Serves 3 – 4 pax

30g dried shrimp (soak in 250ml water for 25 mins – reuse this water as part of the water to cook your rice to make your dish more fragrant)
6 dried Shitake mushrooms (rehydrated and chopped)
80g Chinese sausage (remove the casing by soaking them in hot water for a min then cut the sausage into half to peel the casing off. chop into smaller pieces)
310g glutinous rice (soaked for 2 hours)
1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
1.5 tablespoons premium dark soy sauce
A few dashes of grounded white pepper
310g water (part of this water can be the water used to soak your dried shrimp)
