Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli | Keto and Gluten Free Options

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

In this video I show you how to make one of my favorite Asian takeout meals, Beef and Broccoli made in your instant pot. It’s an simple recipe even for beginners. I show you step by step how to make this recipe to assist alleviate any fear you may have using your Instant Pot. I have keto or low carb and gluten free options. Let’s acquire cooking together!

INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs Flank steak (or chuck roast or flap meat)
3 Tbsp vegetable Oil (I used avocado)
12-16 oz (1 lb) frozen Broccoli
2 tsp of sesame oil
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp grated ginger
1 tsp red pepper flakes (less if you don’t love too much heat)
1/2 cup of soy sauce (I used gluten free soy sauce)
1/3 cup brown sugar (you can use same amount of Swerve brown sugar for keto)
1 cup beef broth (I used 1 Tbsp Better than Bouillon beef flavor with 1 cup water)

Thickener:
1/4 cup corn starch mixed with 3 Tbsp cold water
or
1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum if making this Keto

toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onion for garnish (optional)

**if you use fresh broccoli florets, cut them into but size pieces and add them right before you add the slurry. Cook 3-5 minutes with lid off while sauce is thickening, to desired doneness.
