Instant Pot Beef and Guinness Stew



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


So satisfying and the Instant Pot does the cooking while I go out for a Sunday run. You can use any dark beer you love or even wine to make it closer to a boeuf bourgignon style stew. If you want to skip the alcohol altogether, substitute with some broth instead.

Here are the ingredients for this video:
extra virgin olive oil
salt & pepper
3 lbs beef stew meat
1 big onion
1 lb mushrooms
2 bay leaves
1 TB dried thyme
pinch nutmeg
2 TB tomato paste
16 oz Guinness Stout
3 big carrots
1 lb small potatoes
2 TB flour + 2 TB water
