INSTANT POT BLACK BEANS & RICE | VEGAN | Pressure Luck 101
You’ve probably heard of the
Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.
Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!
Ingredients and direction:
Press the Sauté button
Add 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Add 1 tbsp chopped Garlic
Add 1 cup Onion sliced
Saute for 30 seconds
Add 1 tsp Cumin Powder
Add 1 tsp Paprika
Salt as per the taste
Saute for 30 seconds
Add 2 cups Brown Rice(washed)
1 cup Black Beans (Overnight soaked)
Add 1 medium size chopped Tomato
Mix it everything
Add 2 cups Water
Close the lid and turn the knot to sealing position
Cancel the sauté option
Pressure cook button and set the time for 15 minutes
It’s Done
fast Release the Pressure after 10 minutes of Natural Release
