Instant Pot Chinese Herbal Soup, simple and Healthy!

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Chinese Herbal Soup, most Chinese grow up drinking/eating this soup, and each family has their version. It’s full of nutrition and well known for its health benefits. You can use chicken/chicken bones/Pork/pork bones and a whole wack combination of herbal and root vegetables. I usually make a pot and eat it throughout the week. You can also use a crockpot or stovetop to make this soup.

1 chicken breast
4 cups of water
1/3 cup lotus seeds
6 pieces dried conch
8 jujubes (hong zao)
6 Chinese yam (huai shan)
1/3 cup lily bulbs (bai he)
8 shitake mushrooms
1/4 cup goji berries
3 carrots chopped
4 slices ginger
