Instant Pot Chinese Spare Ribs Recipe | Pinoy Flavor

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

This video is about how to cook Chinese-Style Spare Ribs with black bean sauce using Instant Pot.

– 2 Tbsp. black bean sauce
– 2 tsp. sugar
– 1 tsp. sesame oil
– 2 to 3 stalks chopped green onion
– 2 to 3 cloves minced garlic
– 1 tsp. ground black pepper
– dash of chili flakes
– 2 tsp. of cornstarch
– 1 lb. of spare ribs (cut into small chunks)
*marinate meat for at least 30 minutes
*add 2 cups water to pot, steam mode for 18 to 20 minutes; NPR for 12 minutes
