Instant Pot Recipe for Irish Beef Stew

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

This Instant Pot Recipe for Irish Beef Stew is ready in less than an hour and relies on a Guinness and beef stock base, round roast, and plenty of Veggies to acquire that thick and hearty texture and flavor.




2 Tbsp Olive Oil

2 lb Eye of Round or Round Rump Roast – cubed

6 Thick cut Bacon Slices – chopped

2 Yellow Onions – chopped

3 big Carrots – peeled and cut into chunks/slices

1 big Parsnip – peeled and cut into chunks/slices

2 Celery Stalks – sliced

3 Yukon Potatoes – cubed

1 1⁄2 Tbsp Minced Garlic

1 tsp Dried Thyme

1 tsp Kosher Salt

1 tsp Ground Black Pepper

2 Tbsp Tomato Paste

3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 Bottle Guinness Stout

1 Cup Beef Stock

1 Fresh Rosemary Sprig

2 Bay Leaves

1 Cup Water

1⁄4 Cup All Purpose Flour
