Instant Pot Spaghetti and Meat Sauce?! We Test The Viral Recipe #DoesThisWork



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


The multi-cooker (a.k.a. Instant Pot) has not only taken the internet by storm, but most of Jeanette’s friends and family, too. It almost seems too excellent to be accurate, right!? So, Jeanette is back, testing out a recipe near and dear to her heart: Instant Pot Spaghetti With Meat Sauce.

(FYI, you’ll notice that Jeanette’s version below is a little different than the one she tested in the video above. That’s because she changed it based on her preferences. Enjoy!)

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ground turkey or beef
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
2 medium carrots, peeled and finely chopped
3 ribs celery, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped or grated
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup dry red wine
2 cups chicken stock
One 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
8 ounces spaghetti
