Instant Pot Veg Pulao || How to make peas rice (peas pulao) in an instant pot

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

How to make peas rice (peas pulao) in an instant pot
Press the saute button
2 tbsp ghee or butter
1 tsp cumin seeds
Cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick and bay leaves
Add a handful cashewnut (optional)
Add 3 cups washed Basmati rice (or as you required)
Saute for 30 seconds
Add 3 cups water
Salt as per the taste
Close the lid and turn the knob to sealing position
Cancel saute mode
Cook 6 minutes (pressure cook or manual)
After 5 minutes release the pressure
Open the lid
Looks perfect
Add a cup of frozen peas (adding pea’s later helps to avoid mushiness)
Stir it
Again close the lid
Keep in the warm until you are ready to eat
Ready to serve
Peas are perfectly cooked
