Instant Pot Wheat Berries

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

In this video, I’ll show you how to make Instant Pot Wheat Berries. You definitely need to add this recipe to your arsenal for working through those buckets of food storage you may have on hand.

Wheat berries are a powerhouse of nutrition. Since only the hull has been removed, wheat berries pack quite the nutritional punch. A half-cup of cooked wheat berries contains 3.5 g protein, 4.3 g of fiber, and only 111 calories. They are also loaded with antioxidants, vitamin E, and magnesium, vital for bone and muscles. {source}

Not only are wheat berries a nutritional powerhouse, but wheat berries are also a breeze to make in an Instant Pot or Slow Cooker. Which is my favorite way to make them!
