Louisiana Style Red Beans and Rice Recipe | #SoulFoodSunday

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Louisiana Style Red Beans and Rice Recipe – This is a classic style red beans and rice recipe that is really simple to follow and packs that authentic down in the bayou taste! This is a must try!!

Ingredients
1 lb. dry Red Beans or Kidney Beans
2 tbsp cooking Oil
14 oz. Andouille sausage
1 Yellow Onion
1 Green Bell Pepper
3 Celery Stalks
4 tsp minced Garlic
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Dried Thyme
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1/4 tsp black Pepper
2 Bay Leaves
6 cups water
1/4 cup chopped fresh Parsley (dried will work)
1 tbsp salt, or to taste
3 Green Onions
