You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Today, we have prepared Masala upma which is more flavorful then the original recipe as taosted semolina is sauteed with nutritious vegetables love carrot, french beans, green peas, and corn. Masala Upma recipe is a really simple and simple. Moreover, you can make Masala Upma in instant pot making it perfect for a fast breakfast at home. In South India, Masala Upma is also known as Khara bath.

Semolina (रवा) – 1 cup
Oil (तेल) – 3 tbsp
Mustard Seeds (सरसों के बीज) – 1 tsp
Green Chilies (हरी मिर्च) – 3
Ginger (अदरक) – ½ inch
Curry leaves (करी पत्ता) – few
Asafoetida (हींग) – ¼ tsp
Cashew Nuts (काजू) – 8 to 10 pcs
Onion (प्याज) – 1 chopped
Carrot (गाजर) – ¼ cup
French beans (बीन्स) – ¼ cup
Green Peas (मटर) – ¼ cup
Corn (मकई) – ¼ cup
Tomato (टमाटर) – 1 chopped
Chili powder मिर्च पाउडर) – 1 tsp
Water (पानी) – 3 cup
Salt to taste (नमक स्वाद अनुसार)
Ghee (घी) – 2 tbsp
Fresh Coriander (धनिया)
Lemon (नींबू)
Note – Used 250 ml cup
