Pressure Cooker Desserts: Dark Chocolate Cake

You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

This dark, moist pressure cooker cake can be served simply with a light dusting of powdered sugar or spiced up with some whipped cream and raspberries.

1 Tbsp unsalted butter, for greasing pan
¾ cup all-purpose flour (96g)
¾ cup cocoa powder (72g)
¾ cup granulated sugar (165g)
2 tsp espresso powder
1½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp kosher salt
8 Tbsp (½ cup) unsalted butter, cut into 4 pieces (112g)
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (86g)
3 big eggs
1/3 cup milk (83g)
2 tsp vanilla extract (10g)
2 cups water (472g)
Powdered sugar, for serving
Fresh raspberries, for serving (optional)
