But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Ingredients :

1 Cup Toor Dal
Vegetables of your choice (I am using, 1 tomato, 1 drumstick , some onion shallots, half radish, 1 carrot, 1/2 bBottle gourd, 1 carrot, 1 potato and curry leaves)

1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tbsp cumin-coriander powder
1 & 1/2 tbsp Sambhar Powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp tamrind juice ( if you love more tangy taste then add 2 TBSP )
1 tbsp jaggery

For tempering:
1 tbsp Oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
few methi seeds
pinch of asofetida
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
few whole red chilis
few curry leaves
