You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Hey family!!! It’s the last week of Fall Food Friday 2021 and we’re ending it with a Cozy Sweet Potato Beef stew!

Fall Food Friday Playlist:

Sweet Potato Beef Stew:
2lbs stewing beef
2 onions finely chopped
3 carrots peeled and chopped
2 celery ribs chopped
4-6 garlic cloves, minced
1 can tomato paste
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 cups beef broth
2 tbsp flour mixed with ½ cup water
salt and pepper to taste
3 big sweet potatoes peeled and chopped into big chunks

Set the Instant Pot to the saute function.

Add a few tablespoons of oil and add the beef in batches. Brown well on all sides then remove and set aside.
Add the onions, carrots and celery. Saute for 5 minutes then add the garlic and tomato paste. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the beef, broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Close the lid and move the valve to “sealing”. Cook on the meat setting for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, fast release the pressure and add the potatoes. Seal the lid again and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
Allow the pressure to release then set to the saute function. Allow the stew to simmer then stir in the flour and water mixture. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes until the stew has thickened. Season to taste and serve.

For Cornbread I just use the southern cornbread recipe on the back of the Martha White cornmeal bag. 😁👍
