Sweet Potato Curry in Instant Pot || Recipe # 69



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


Sweet Potato Curry in Instant Pot

Recipe :

Sweet Potatoes – 5 (medium size) – cut into cubes
Onion – 1 (medium size ) – (finely chopo onions)
Chillies – 2
Tomatoes – 3 ( medium size) – cut into big cubes
Ginger – 2 inches (grated)
Garlic – 4 cloves (grated)
Cumin Seeds – 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Chilli Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Salt
Coriander Leaves

On Saute ,

Add :
Oil – 2 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds
Ginger
Garlic
Onions – Saute onions till golden
Add:
Chillies
Tomatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Turmeric Powder
Coriander Powder
Chilli Powder
Mix Well – Saute a minute
Add :
Water – 3/4 cup
Cancel Saute
Close the lid and seal

Manual – 5 minutes (or) Pressure cook – 5 minutes
Pressure – HIGH
Release – fast Release

Open the lid and add coriander leaves.

Tip :- If the curry is more watery , then on saute cook till water evaporates.
