You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

Let’s St!r up this terrific tandoori chicken in the instant pot! So simple to make and full of flavours, you don’t want to miss this one! Try it with a side of roasted potatoes or veg rice (both on my channel). Be sure to check it out!

Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (skinless preferred)
4 tbsp plain yogurt
2 tbsp evoo
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp tandoori masala
Optional: 2 tbsp thyme leaves

Method:
1. Take whole chicken, clean, apply cuts and keep aside.
2. make a marinade with yogurt, oil, lemon, tandoori masala spice by mixing them all together.
3. Apply marinade to the chicken generously, apply to all sides of chicken including inside.
4. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 2-3 hours if short on time.
5. Take the chicken and add to the instant pot with the trivet inserted at the bottom. Throw in few thyme leaves (optional).
6. Manual pressure for15-20 minutes.
7. Natural pressure release for 5-7 minutes.
8. fast pressure release for remaining 2-3 minutes.
9. Take chicken out and broil on 500 in the oven if you want it crispy on the outside for 5 minutes.
10. Serve with a side of potatoes or rice.
