Toasted Almond & Apple Quinoa Cereal prepared in the Instant Pot



You’ve probably heard of the Instant Pot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!


Have something different for breakfast. This healthy cereal is made in your Instant Pot from quinoa, apples, dried cherries and roasted almonds. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup silvered almonds
1 cup uncooked quinoa
2 cups water
1/3 cup dried tart cherries
1 tablespoon canola oil
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped Braeburn apple
1 tablespoon sugar
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
