But these simple & easy to follow recipes work with any pressure cooker! All pressure cookers work on the same, simple principle: Steam pressure.

Within the sealed pot, the steam builds up therein to a very high pressure, which helps food cook much faster than other traditional methods, such as with crock pots and or ovens!

100g dry Black Beans
2 medium carrots, chopped
130g Frozen Corn
1 red onion, chopped
130ml Water
1/4 TSP Cumin
2 big handfuls Spinach, chopped
Fresh Corriander (to taste)

Soak the black beans overnight in cold water overnight.
Drain, rinse.
Add the beans to a pressure cooker with 80ml water
Add water, cumin
Close valve, cook for 35 minutes on high.
Open the pressure cooker, add onion, carrots and corn and 50ml water.
Close valve, cook for 10 minutes on high.
Open pressure cooker, add spinach and coriander.
Close valve, cook for 2 minutes on high
Serve on rice or jacket potatoes with greens on the side.

If cooking on the hob, cook beans for longer, about 1 hour, until they are cooked through and tender.
